Things we do well.....
"All children are happy and settled during their time at the nursery. Staff take the time to get to know the children and their families well, ensuring the children's individual care needs are being met"
"Children are safeguarded because the staff team have a good understanding of child protection procedures and know how to implement them to protect the children in their care. The child protection policies and procedures are shared with parents to ensure they are fully aware of the setting's role and responsibilities. Robust recruitment and vetting procedures ensure that all adults working on the premises are suitable and all staff have been vetted. Full written risk assessments are carried out to ensure the play and learning environment is safe and secure, further protecting the children who attend."
"All children have access to a range of resources and equipment that is suitable for their age and stage of development. Children's independence is promoted as they self select resources and choose activities during free play. They are able to access the resources from the low level, clearly labelled storage units around the rooms. All children's individual care needs are being met through the open sharing of information with parents and good lines of communication with regard to the children's welfare. Parents have access to their children's records at any time and are able to talk to their children's key person when they bring and collect their children."
"All children are making progress towards the early learning goals and have opportunities to develop their skills in all six areas, both inside and outside."
More time has been allocated to staff to observe the children put together detailed next steps for each child and all planning is designed to target each childs learning by providing varied opportunities to learn new skills and improve on what they have already learnt.
Parents evenings and Open mornings each term allow all families to look through their childrens learning journals and discuss how we can support their childs development further.
Safety within the Nursery continues to be of upmost importance, and all staff are dedicated to ensuring that the children are learning all the time to keep themselves and other keep safe.
Increased opportunities to explore and learn through play throughout the day.
We are continuing to evalulate what we do and improve our care and service to the children and their families.
